My Adventures
Cool stuff I created

Dusty Beetles (2022-2024)
Role: Founder & Lead Architect
Built the entire MVP for the startup in less than 48 hours—and we sold our first product the same day the prototype was done. I designed the packaging, the product, and the brand. The product? An infused June beetle snack, dusted in cheese and infused with legal hemp-derived cannabinoids (2018 farm bill compliant, COAs and all). We established a brand presence overnight, got Blind Fury (yes, the BET rapper) to try them, and brought the world's first edible insect product to market. Unfortunetly, life kicked my ass and I had to shut down.

The Baked Potato Store (2018-2019)
Role: Founder & Full-stack Software Engineer
Scaled an online store selling potatoes, bongs, and—yes—bags of bugs. Expanded the product line and made some weird but wonderful partnerships.

Automately Cloud (2014-2017)
Role: Founder & Lead Architect
Architected Automately Core, an open-source distributed backend platform. Built the frontend, backend, and all the platform tools—because who needs sleep? This was acquired and the stack absorbed. (Pour one out for my code.)

QuickStart.me (2012-2013)
Role: Founder & Lead Architect
Co-founded QuickStart.me, built a web app for business record-keeping, a web-based phone, a Vonage-like phone service for businesses. (Because sometimes you just need to combine your invoicing platform with your phone system.)
SecTitan (2011-2013)
Role: Founder & Lead Architect
Developed a customizable reverse-proxy solution for web apps and HID-based IDS tools. Provided security testing for public-facing web apps. (Yes, I was the friendly hacker. No, I won’t hack your ex’s Facebook for $20.)

Bestellen Software, LLC (2011-2017)
Role: Owner & Manager
Co-founded Bestellen Software in my last year of high school, providing IT services to businesses and residents. Built custom web apps, streamlined operations, and managed cloud stuff before it was cool. Also, I fixed a lot of computers. Like, a lot.
GBHTech (2009-2010)
Role: Founder & IT Support
Started an IT support company before I could legally rent a car. Managed Windows Server, ESX Servers, removed viruses, installed OSes, and provided direct customer service to 10+ folks a week. Also, I repaired computers for residents—sometimes with actual success.
Startups I've Worked For
Catsy (2021)
Role: Full-stack Software Engineer
Worked with the founder to prototype MVPs at warp speed, which helped land more clients. Hands down a really cool company. (If you see this, hi Catsy!)

Artful Home (2020-2021)
Role: Full-Stack Software Engineer
Refactored legacy tools, built automation scripts, and developed an HTML templating engine that cut marketing email production time by 90%. Fixed a critical call center issue and kept the data flowing to vendors. (I basically was the IT version of a Swiss Army knife.)

Storyscript (2019-2020)
Role: Full-stack Software Engineer
Helped speed up the Storyscript Runtime by building key features. Worked with a team of absolute legends. Eventually moved on to new adventures, and Storyscript sailed off into the sunset. (RIP, Storyscript. It was a beautiful journey.)

Breezy HR (2018-2019)
Role: Full-stack Software Engineer
Helped keep the platform running, added new features, found security holes, and collaborated with another team of badasses. (If you’re reading this, you know who you are. Thank you for the opportunity.)

Two Tap (2018)
Role: Full-stack Software Engineer
Provided critical industry insights as an e-commerce web automation engineer. (No I didn't sell out Ebates)

Clause (2017)
Role: Full-stack Software Engineer
Sold Automately Cloud so I could feed my family. Advised on Clause’s Legal Tech platform, optimized performance, and migrated Automately Cloud. Basically, I adopted my digital baby out for cash.

Fatwallet/Ebates (Rakuten) (2013-2017)
Role: Software Engineer
Helped develop a web automation platform to make cash back instant (because who wants to wait?). Helped scale the Universal Shopping Cart, making mobile shopping less of a headache. This all led to a $1b acquisition of Ebates. Ask Kevin Johnson. (He’ll vouch for me. Maybe.)
